is a Norwegian trumpet player, composer, bandleader and educator based in Oslo. He is a graduate of the jazz program at NTNU in Trondheim and the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. Mathisen leads the Øyvind Mathisen Trio, the septet ØyvindLAND and the quartet Get Your Goat. With these groups he has performed more than 70 concerts across Norway and Europe, presenting his original compositions. Mathisen has released three albums of his music: Malerier (2020), Get Your Goat (2022), and Nonett (2023).

Øyvind Frøberg Mathisen is also part of Cosmic Swing Orchestra, OJKOS, Petter Dalane Quintet, Stefano Boggianis ANDVAKE, Laupsa Lokomotiv, Cecilie Grundt Quintet and JAZZ:UNG TRADISJON.
